The Art of the Reveal

Specialising in collage and mixed media, my practice is rooted in the rhythmic act of layering. Every piece begins with the creation of my own textural archive—a collection of unique, hand-printed papers that embody the irregular, organic character of the print.

Based in York, I am fascinated by the juxtaposition of ancient, crowded streets and the sleek, backlit glow of the digital screen. To capture this, my process is one of constant addition and subtraction. I layer translucent tissues over heavy, hand-torn fragments, allowing glimpses of history to show through modern, geometric edits.

The Layered Edit is my way of slowing down the digital blur. It is a celebration of the tactile, the analogue, and the joy of the discovery that happens when multiple worlds are pressed into a single frame. My work is a visual reminder that there is always a deeper story hidden beneath the surface.
